Abstract

This research will explain creative writing learning for students of Indonesian language education program based on folklore. The folklore used in this study is native Indonesian folklore which has the value of local wisdom. Learning with digital folklore media is expected to improve the quality of creative writing learning. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative and uses a naturalistic research approach. The data in this study were collected by observation, interviews, and documentation in the field. Sources of data in this study are documents, events, and speakers (lecturers, community leaders, and students). The result is that the folklore digitization program is able to make it easier for students to understand the story plot and its educational value. In addition, the folklore digitization program is also able to increase the intelligence of students to write creatively in the modern era based on local wisdom in Indonesia.
