Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Project Based Learning (PjBL) model in Pancasila Education subject at MTs Miftahunnajah. The main focus of this research is to assess the extent to which the PjBL model can improve students' understanding of Pancasila values as well as critical thinking skills and collaboration abilities. This research used a mixed methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methods to obtain comprehensive results. The research design is sequential explanatory, starting with quantitative data collection followed by qualitative data to deepen the analysis. This research was conducted at MTs Miftahunnajah, with the research subjects being eighth grade students enrolled in Pancasila Education subjects. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires for quantitative data and interviews and observations for qualitative data. The research instruments used were questionnaires, interview guides, and observation sheets. The data analysis technique used was descriptive statistical analysis for quantitative data and thematic analysis for qualitative data. The results showed that first, the application of the PjBL model in Pancasila Education subjects was effective in increasing student involvement during the learning process. Second, it affects students' critical thinking skills in learning. Third, improving students' collaboration skills. Fourth, analyzing the challenges of teachers and students in learning using the PjBL model.
