Abstract

This research is to analyze a new approach that integrates Pancasila values as the basis for developing effective coping strategies in overcoming addictive behavior, namely reducing online gambling addiction among adolescents in the digital era. This research uses a mixed method with a sequential explanatory design. The study was conducted in several high schools in Sleman Regency. The research subjects included students who experienced online gambling addiction, teachers, school counselors, and Pancasila education experts. The data collection techniques used were interviews, questionnaires, and observation. Qualitative data were analyzed using thematic analysis, while quantitative data were analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistical tests to evaluate the effectiveness of the developed coping strategies. The results showed that coping strategies based on Pancasila values, such as religiosity, gotong royong, discipline, and responsibility attitudes, were effective in reducing the tendency of online gambling addiction among adolescents.
