Abstract

The research aims to analyze students' difficulties writing papers based on multicultural understanding when learning the Indonesian language during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was qualitative research with a case study approach. Respondents in the study were students and lecturers of the Indonesian language course at a Buddhist college in Central Java. The research finding is that during the Covid-19 pandemic, Indonesian language learning was carried out online. Students, when participating in online learning, were not optimal in writing papers based on multicultural understanding. Student's difficulties in writing papers were; (1) ideas presented; (2) writing organization; (3) writing discourse; (4) grammar; (5) word choice; and (6) the use of spelling.
