Abstract

Mastery motivation is a child's intrinsic drive to master new skills through exploration and repeated effort, despite facing difficulties. Mastery motivation also contributes to the cognitive and motor development of early childhood, as well as the formation of positive character traits such as perseverance, fortitude, and perseverance. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to explain aspects related to early childhood mastery motivation contained in the children's storybook entitled "Tiup-Tiup." The method used was descriptive research with data collection techniques through reading and note-taking. Data were analyzed using content analysis from a psychological perspective. The results of the study were activities that demonstrate the ability to persist over the long term (grit), endurance after experiencing difficulties (resilience), and perseverance, which is a consistent, continuous effort in facing learning challenges (perseverance).
