Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of the level of religiosity of peer santri on the level of morality of santri at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Muayyad Surakarta. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method. The population of the study was 225 santri and a sample of 83 santri was taken using the stratified random sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and supported by interviews and observations. The collected data were subjected to prerequisite tests, namely the normality test, multicollinearity test and heteroscedasticity test, then analyzed using simple linear regression analysis. The results of the study showed that the variables tested showed a high category, namely the variable of the level of religiosity of peer santri of 83.1% and the variable of the level of morality of santri of 77.1%. Based on the results of the t-test, it showed a significant influence between the two variables of the level of religiosity of peer santri with the level of morality of santri with a significance of 0.000 or less than 0.05. The theoretical implication in this study is the suitability between the results of the data analysis with the Theory of Religiosity of Glock & Stark (1969) and the Theory of Moral Education of Emile Durkheim (1990).
