Multimodal Composing For Literacy Promotion On Community Instagram @Dudukbaca

This study aims to describe the multimodal composing of the @dudukbaca Community to promote literacy on Instagram. The method used to process the research data is qualitative with data collection techniques of participatory observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study showed that (1) multimodal composing was carried out through the stages of invention, drafting, and revision which were carried out with a literacy message dissemination strategy (2) the content of the promotional message includes messages of the joy of reading, such as reading books is an exciting, fun, joyful, brings happiness, and is useful. (3) audience responses to this multimodal text/community content tended to be positive and led to participation in joint reading activities in public spaces, which in turn increased the number of readers and fostered a reading culture. This study concludes that multimodal composing is an efficient dissemination of literacy messages.
