Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Meanwhile, the documents analyzed are the folklore "Prince Sambernyawa" by examining the intrinsic elements, the character education value of Pancasila students, and their relevance as creative writing teaching materials for Indonesian Language Education students at FKIP UNS. The data collection technique used was document analysis. The data analysis techniques used were data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. This study analyzes the intrinsic elements and character education values of Pancasila students in the folktale "Pangeran Sambernyawa" and their relevance as creative writing teaching materials for Indonesian Language Education students at FKIP UNS. The research found intrinsic elements in the folktale "Pangeran Sambernyawa" in theme, plot, characters and characterizations, setting, and message. In addition, the value of character education for Pancasila students was also found, namely faith, fear of God Almighty, noble character, cooperation, and creativity. The results of this study are relevant as teaching material for creative writing for Indonesian Language Education students at FKIP UNS.
