The Memory Construction And Social Imaginary In Björk’s "ATOPOS"

This research discusses the construction of post-pandemic social memory and imagination represented in the lyrics of the song "Atopos" by Björk. With a qualitative method, this research uses the theory of collective memory developed by Maurice Halbwachs and social imaginary initiated by Charles Taylor. From the analysis that has been done, it can be seen that the memory constructed in the song lyrics is that the COVID-19 pandemic is an event that has an impact on society globally. However, solidarity after the COVID-19 pandemic is a social imaginary offered by Björk. The solidarity in question is not to erase diversity, but diversity is bridged with understanding between community groups.
