Local Wisdom In Oral Tradition: Parental Belief In Educating Early Childhood In The Family

Abstract

The development of the era of beliefs of the former is increasingly fading, even though as we know that the engagement of the engagement people derived from oral traditions have moral and spiritual values. The purpose of this study is to find out Local Wisdom in Oral Tradition: Parental Beliefs in Educating Early Childhood In The Family. This research was conducted in Cikakak Village of Banyumas Regency. This research is a field study using a qualitative descriptive approach. In data collection, researchers use interview techniques. For data analysis, researchers use three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The results of this study show that local wisdom in oral tradition taught by parents in early childhood in the family is classified into three forms of yalni stories, tips and proverbs. In the form of a story is there is the story of Mbah Mustolih, the level of the Saka Tunggal mosque and the story of monkeys around the mosque. There are oral traditions in the form of advice: Can not sit at the door, can not whistle, can not spit on fire, can not urinate in a hole, can not go out of the house maghrib time, eating should be spent, can not say dirty and can not steal. As for the sayings taught, namely lebu awu and mupuk. Teaching oral traditions is carried out by parents to form a good child's personality and morals.
